Esther Shimka, nicknamed Ginja because of her ginger hair, cooks from the heart with a wonderful combination of passion and love for food and her origins on which she draws. The menu at BaKhatzer shel Ginja (In Ginja’s Courtyard) is based on delicious and carefully prepared Tripolitan food. The Tripolitan kitchen is characterized by diverse flavors and colors that are worked wonderfully by Ginja. These days there is a return to the foods of one’s origin and famous chefs go back to the dishes that they have had in their family’s kitchen and acknowledge the attractiveness of those aromas and flavors. In addition, you can also find here special dishes for children such as schnitzel and fries. BaKhatzer shel Ginja is located within the charming Ahuzat Shlomo (Shlomo Estate) vacation complex in moshav Hazon in front of the green Galilee landscape of the mountains and the Tsalmon Stream (15 minutes drive from Tiberias). The fresh air and peacefulness together with the delicious food create a very special combination.

On the menu at BaKhatzer shel Ginja you will find colorful and delicious couscous dishes which simmer in dark shades of red and yellow, different types of stuffed vegetables, meat stews and an authentic Khraime (fish in a spicy tomato sauce). The salads are made from local fresh produce and the pita breads are freshly baked here. Generous breakfasts are served with homemade jams, spreads, delicious cheeses and cool lemonade. Ginja enjoys hosting and cooking and it is felt in each bite. She treats her guests pleasantly and warmly and makes sure of the quality of the fresh materials that she uses in her cooking. The meal can be had in the house or on the large balcony in front of the wonderful Galilee view. The children will enjoy the vast well-kept spaces and the home cooked food. It is possible and recommended to combine this visit with a stay at the prestigious complex which has four pampering suites and a wonderful swimming pool.
