Cafe Rishonim Kibbutz Degania Aleph
Cafe Rishonim Restaurants
In a courtyard built 100 years ago by the pioneers of Kibbutz Degania Aleph in the Jordan Valley, not far from the Sea of Galilee (the Kinneret), you’ll be surprised to find a sweet, quaint café. Enjoy an excellent cup of coffee, delicious lasagna, pastas, sandwiches, salads, quiches, desserts – and even sip a glass of wine produced in Degania. On the menu, you will find dishes with enchanting names like Farmer’s Morning (which includes "shakshuka”- an egg and tomato dish, salad and "labaneh” – a soft white cheese), and Busel Salad, a tasty Israeli salad named after one of the pioneers of Degania. The fresh bread is baked on site. The café is intimate and serene, the ambience pastoral, and the children will surely enjoy the large cushion of grass and the excellent children’s meal. Guided tours of the captivating history of the first kibbutz in the land of Israel are offered as well.
