Ein Heshek

If the truth is told, it is not really hard to understand why Ein Heshek (literally "desire spring”) is called in such a sexy name. It is said that this charming place on the slopes of the Golan Heights is responsible for the conceiving of many of the children of kibbutz Gonen. And when you arrive there you will see exactly why. Ein Heshek is a perfect place to relax at for lovers. There is a small hidden pool here within the thick green stream vegetation. One can dip in its cool clear water to the sound of its bubbling, enjoy the lovely fragrance of mint and in the right season also munch on the abundant raspberries that grow here. In the pool there is a small waterfall which wonderfully serves as a natural Jacuzzi and under the shade of the trees one can have a perfect picnic. Arrival at Ein Heshek: from Gonen Junction which is on road number 918, turn east to road number 959 toward Merom Golan. After approximately 200 meters, when the road turns sharply to the left, park your car on the right side of the road. From here continue on the blue trail. Ein Heshek is accessible to travelers on foot, bicycle and 4X4 vehicles. In the area one can also find other springs such as Ein Divsha and Ein Maimon. During the spring the Blue Lupine flowers here and paints some of the slopes in blue.
