The Israeli Air Force Museum presents its airplanes and helicopters. In the central aircrafts lot there are more than 20 attack helicopters, which were either decommissioned or captured by Israel, and hundreds of attack helicopters which served in the Israeli Air Force. Some of these aircrafts, such as Ezer Weizman’s (the seventh President of the State of Israel, Commander of the Israeli Air Force and Minister of Defense) Spitfire, are still operational and even fly in various air shows. Beside the authentic aircrafts display, the museum presents various permanent exhibits, one of which presents the activity of the Israeli Air Force’s Rescue and Evacuation Unit, remnants of aircrafts and weapons and historical and modern military hardware, as well as various historical booths which are spread around the Museum grounds and the portraits of the Israeli Air Force’s commanders.
