Bat Shlomo

This small old village is in the process of being declared a "National Site”, among other reasons, for its excellent preservation, which creates a strong feeling of visiting the past. The village of Bat Shlomo (in Hebrew, Shlomo’s daughter), which was established in 1889, is named after Batya, the daughter of Salomon (Shlomo) de Rothschild, and cousin of the famous philanthropist, the Baron de Rothschild. The village was established due to a lack in agricultural lands in the area of Zichron Ya'akov. It has one street on which sides the residents’ modest and well-kept stone houses were built. Behind the houses were the agricultural lands. The view is surprisingly pastoral, which creates a great desire to walk around for a long while (although this is a relatively small area). People live here still today, some of which work in tourism. Near this village there is a moshav of the same name. Access through road number 70.
