The Hadera Forest Pool

At the heart of the Hadera Forest, which is on the coastal plain, a short distance from Hadera’s train station (a great advantage for those without a car), is a big winter pool. In a decent rainy winter, this pool, also called "Aata pool”, could cover a vast area of more than 100 dunams, and thus provide travelers with a glimpse into the past, to a time not that long ago when this area was covered by huge swamps. You should catch a spot near a eucalyptus tree, with its branches touching the water, and watch the gulls, mallards and herons which come here to enjoy the water. Before or after this pleasant break, it is recommended to walk around this lovely forest and find a welcomed hiding place from the world.
