Golda Park, which is in the Negev, is meant, among other things, to remind one that Golda Meir, Israel’s fourth Prime Minister, was a great supporter of settling the Negev. As such, she was a member of the nearby Kibbutz Revivim. Here, next to Revivim Stream, a park was developed which is a well-kept leisure area which spreads over about 550 dunams. It is interesting to know that Golda Park was developed on top of the ruins of a closed down quarry. Golda Park provides a beautiful lake, green lawns, pleasant picnic areas and an observation point (Mitzpor Tali) that looks over the desert landscape which includes the Mount Hermon ridge and the Northern Negev. Additional interesting sites at the Golda Park include a famous British well (the Pilpelon well).
Arrival at the Golda Park: at the Mash’abim Junction, which is on road number 40, turn west to road number 222 and follow the signs.
