The Haifa City Museum is located in the former Templer community center building in the elegant German Colony. The Haifa City Museum features temporary exhibitions that, as befitting the museum’s name, deal with the history of Haifa, on numerous levels: from architecture, current affairs and culture, to art, photography and transport. Thus, for example, quite recently the Haifa City Museum hosted exhibitions on the subjects of the Haifa port, the Hijaz railway which was built by the Ottomans, and more. The Haifa City Museum was inaugurated in 2000 and throughout the years has gone through some renovation works, alongside the adjacent former Templer school building. The Haifa City Museum also holds conferences, performances and other activities.
