Festivals in Haifa

The International film Festival which takes place every September in the city of Haifa is a cultural event of international importance. The festival includes screenings of 280 new films from around the world, art fairs and street performances, live music concerts and outdoor film viewings. The representatives of the Israeli and the International film industries take part in this festival which makes a point of advancing the issues of pluralism and co-existence. The guests of the festival meet with the audience and film creators, in receptions, artists’ workshops, international conferences and cinema discussions. During the festival contests honoring the film creators take place as well.
