John Deere Land is the name of a tractors and agricultural machinery museum in Kfar Tavor (Tabor Village) in the north of Israel. These machines look wonderful and presentable now, but when Yossi Simchoni, who was born in the Jezreel Valley, found them they were in a pretty bad shape, as one can see in the pictures that are displayed near every machine from the days before the overhaul. Each machine has information provided about it as well as information about the history of the settlement of Israel. But there are not only exhibitions and explanations here. There is also an abundance of additional attractions, such as: sliding from the height of 7 meter into a big cotton basket filled with cotton; driving tractors with pedals; a simulator which simulates driving on the moon; a film about the harvesting in a combine, during which engine sounds are heard and the seats shake; a tour in a "carriage train” through the fields of Kfar Tavor and many more activities which will give you an especially enjoyable and educational family entertainment.
There is an entrance fee.
