Even though its official name is Hof HaCarmel (the Carmel Shore) Forest, everyone knows it as the Ofer Forest. This is a beautiful forest and the fact that on the one hand it is close to the coast line and the blue Mediterranean Sea and on the other to the high Carmel Cliffs, attracts many: travelers on foot and bicycle riders who enjoy its numerous winding trails. Everyone will find here what they are looking for, those who like the quiet and those who like picnics with many participants. The Ofer Forest is fairly large and it has room for everyone. Some of the marked trails of the Ofer Forest are named the Noam Trails, the Ron Trails and the Enchanted Forest Trail. The Ofer Forest also offers its visitors an impressive observation point that is located on the top of a high tower, next to which is a picnic area.
