Ralli Museum in Caesarea

The Ralli Museum, which spreads over two structures, focuses on Latin-American art. As such, the Ralli Museum is housed inside a magnificent building of Spanish Colonial style, which overlooks lawns, trees and the Mediterranean Sea in the background. Those who climb up to the Ralli Museum‘s second floor will discover, beside the view, many sculptures. Many of the artworks exhibited belong to the Surrealist movement and many of the visitors will be surprised to find here quite a few sculptures by the Spanish artist Salvador Dali. But you will find here not only art, but also an archeological exhibit ("Herod’s Dream”) which depicts various periods in Caesarea’s history. The second, newer structure of the Ralli Museum includes four floors which present original classic paintings from the 16th-18th centuries on the subject of Biblical scenes. At the courtyard next to the structure are found magnificent statues, water fountains and other aesthetic surprises. The Ralli Museum is located on Rothschild Avenue, near the Water Tower.
