Alongside Mount Meron flows all year round Nahal Amud (Pillar Stream), which almost all Israelis visited and walked along it, either on high school trips or during their army service. This beautiful stream in the Galilee region, which pours into the Sea of Galilee, begins its way in the Dalton Plateau (Ramat Dalton), at the height of 800 meters above sea level, and it serves as the principal part of a great section of the "From Sea to Sea” (Mediterranean Sea to Sea of Galilee) trail. Inside the Nahal Amud Nature Reserve, the Amud Stream flows along 20 kilometers. The Nahal Amud Nature Reserve, which has good signs and indications and is suitable for a trip with the whole family, offers a few points of interest along the Amud Stream, such as beautiful orchards with complimentary mountainous background, a clear water pool (Sechvi Pool) and, of course, the most familiar symbol of the Amud Stream- the huge "Amud”, or Pillar, after which this Stream is named, which never stops surprising in each visit anew. Inside the Nahal Amud (Pillar Stream) Nature Reserve is an organized (and modest) park for staying over night.
