Whoever wishes to see the Harod Valley in all of its beauty, dotted with water pools, small villages and many areas of green and yellow blossom, will do well to climb up to Katef Shaul (Saul’s Shoulder), and view it from there. Katef Shaul (Saul’s Shoulder), which is in the Gilboa region, is named after the famous King Saul who fell here in captivity together with his sons during the battle against the Philistines on the ridge of Mount Gilboa. The vast spaces of the Galilee and the Gil’ad regions are also seen well from here, and this is perhaps the reason that picnic areas, amusement facilities for children and trails were built here. Ask all of those people who come here for Paragliding and jump right into this beautiful scene from the height of 300 meters above sea level. Arrival through the "Gilboa Scenic Road” (Kvish Nof HaGilboa) Junction.
