According to many, the remains of the Roman temple found at the Tel Kedesh (Kedesh Mound) National Park, located in the Naphtali Mountains, are the most impressive in the country. The Tel Kedesh National Park is not known enough and that is a shame. Next to the remains of the Roman temple are found ruins of an ancient settlement, large sarcophagi and more. Walking around the area will also reveal communication trenches that served the IDF during the Israeli War of Independence, as well as a lovely grove of terebinth trees. It is always lovely here, although in the spring Tel Kedesh becomes covered with a thick blossom carpet of chrysanthemums and a few appearances by the Iris Mesopotamica. The Tel Kedesh National Park spreads over 1,350 dunams on both sides of the North Road (number 899), about two kilometers west of Yesha Junction. Only a part of the Tel Kedesh National Park is open for the public.
