The Yigal Alon Center is located in kibbutz Ginosar on the shore of the Sea of Galilee. The Yigal Alon Center Museum deals with the subject of "Man in the Galilee” and it includes exhibition spaces on the subjects of Man and landscape, the Talmud period, the Arab village, settlement, history, nature and the culture of the area. The entrance to the exhibition space of the Landscape of the Galilee has a basalt floor and olive tree trunks which bring the visitors closer to the nature of the Galilee. Some of the exhibition spaces serve as an active museum. The most unique and exciting experience at the Yigal Alon Center Museum is that of the Galilee boat that was built about 2,000 years ago and was lifted from the bottom of the Sea of Galilee in 1986. The boat went through preservation work and it draws to it many visitors who see in it an authentic exhibit from the time of the beginning of Christianity.
